Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Christmas Cartoon (1944)

I've just found this old cartoon. Though it is quite strange to see a reindeer walking as a human being I think it is a good way for you to learn about Rudolph's story. I hope you enjoy watching it.

December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On December 3rd, we'll celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilites at school.

This Day aims to "promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life". (Text taken from UN 'Enable' website: www.un.org/disabilities.)

We'll learn this song in class and will sing it all together in the playground. Listen to it and practice at home as much as possible, please.

This is not a traditional entrance dance for a wedding ceremony. Perhaps these people will start a trend.

Instructions: Watch the video and answer the wedding vocabulary questions.

1. What is the name for this group of people?
2. What is the name of the long hall they are dancing down?
3. What do you call the man who is getting married?
4. What do you call the women in the coloured dresses?
5. Who is the last person to arrive and who "escorts" her to the "altar"?

For answers check this vocabulary lesson:
